Ludington committee to discuss impact of marijuana law

Recreational marijuana is on the agenda for discussion during the City of Ludington’s Public Safety / Public Utilities Committee meeting on Monday afternoon.

The committee will discuss the impact of Michigan’s Proposal 1, which was passed by voters during the Nov. 6 midterm election. The proposal will legalize the recreational use and possession of marijuana for people age 21 or older in Michigan. The proposal will also enact a tax on marijuana sales, among other changes to the current Michigan marijuana laws.
