SEATAC, Wash. (AP) — The final structural steel beam has been raised for the main structure of the International Arrivals Facility at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

The beam, part of a large construction program at the airport, was raised Tuesday.

The Port of Seattle is building the expanded International Arrivals Facility, which will include a 450,000 square foot hall for baggage claims and customs and an 85-foot high aerial walkway.

The addition also will increase the number of international-capable gates at the airport from 12 to 20.

The facility is scheduled to open in 2020.
