GIRLS SOCCER: Mohave girls edge Havasu
The Havasu girls soccer team made a furious second-half comeback but fell short in a 5-4 loss at Mohave on Monday in Bullhead City.
The Knights dug themselves a hole in the first half, falling behind 3-0 at halftime.
Havasu was able to rebound after the break, scoring four goals, but the Thunderbirds found just enough to earn the victory, scoring two goals of their own to take the rivalry contest.
The Knights will now wait and see where they end up in the playoffs, with seedings announced on Wednesday. Havasu entered the day ranked No. 16, with the top 16 seeds hosting at least one playoff game. A loss to the No. 11 T-birds shouldn’t cost the Knights much in the rankings but how much is yet to be seen.
