Antoinette M. Rabideau, 100, of Kankakee, passed away Tuesday (Aug. 21, 2018) at Miller Health Care Center in Kankakee.
She was born Dec. 12, 1917, in Clifton, the daughter of Norman and Laura Lemenager Marcotte. Antoinette married Clyde Rabideau on Sept. 14, 1940, in L’Erable. He preceded her in death in 2003.
Antoinette was a homemaker. She was a member of the Kankakee Women’s Club and Ladies of the Moose. She was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Council of Catholic Women.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Marcia Rabideau, of St. Anne; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Karen and Thomas Cleary, of Bend, Ore., Linda and Jim Nussbaum, of Aurora, Colo., and Nancy Rabideau, of Bradley; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Colleen Harling, of Algonquin.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Norma Wulff; and her brother, Harry Marcotte.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, until the 11 a.m. funeral Mass at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in L’Erable. The Rev. Charles Wheeler will celebrate the Mass. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in L’Erable.
