Vermont AG arranges refunds for canceled concert

July 13, 2018

MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) — The Vermont Attorney General’s office has arranged for people who had purchased tickets for a concert that was canceled on the day of the event.

Attorney General T.J. Donovan says seven bands had been scheduled to play at Shrinedom 2017, a rock festival that was supposed to take place last September in Irasburg.

The state says that on the day of the festival organizers had not sold enough tickets to pay the national bands and the event was canceled.

The state’s investigation concluded that the festival should have been delayed in August 2017 due to poor ticket sales.

The state says “poor judgment and lack of experience in organizing a music festival” led hundreds of consumers to purchase tickets to an event which did not run as advertised.
