n Brian Wilde, a financial planner with the Financial Insight Center, will speak at 6:30 p.m. today at Brookdale Chubbuck, 4080 Hawthorne Road in Chubbuck.

n City of Pocatello City Council work session will be today at 9 a.m. in Council Chambers at Pocatello City Hall.

n Gold’s Gym will host a Jail Break 5K at Gold’s Gym, 1800 Flandro Drive in Pocatello, at 6 p.m. today.

n The Power County Fair and Rodeo will be today through Friday at the American Falls Fairgrounds in American Falls. At the Power County Fair, attendees will be able to watch 4-H competitions. The competitions that will be judged are animals, food and art.

n The Palace Playhouse will present “Annie” the musical today and Friday with dinner at 6:15 p.m. and showtime at 7 p.m. The Palace Playhouse is at 158 E. Chubbuck Road. The play features local talent, and patrons can purchase tickets to the show or can also enjoy a dinner/theater experience. n The Bannock County Fair and Rodeo will be today through Saturday at the Bannock County Fairgrounds in Downey. The Bannock County Fair will offer a number of family-friendly events for all ages. Those events include a dog show, laser tag, a parade, free kids games, Live A Little Moto Cross Extreme and Mega Trucks show and free wagon rides. n The 2018 Shoshone Bannock Indian Festival will be Thursday through Sunday in Fort Hall at the Rodeo Fairgrounds. Admission is free.

Friday

Fort Hall Bull Riding Mayhem presented by the Fort Hall Casino and Shoshone Bannock Hotel & Events Center will be Friday at 8 p.m. at the Fort Hall rodeo grounds. The event will feature an exciting bull riding competition where 20 riders each try to ride two bulls to win their share of over $7,000 in prize money. This event happens in conjunction with the Shoshone Bannock Native American Festival. General admission tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the gate and VIP tickets (limit to 300) are $30 in advance, $35 at the gate. Tickets are available at shobangaming.com and C-A-L Ranch Stores in Pocatello and Blackfoot.
