Honey Hut, Mason’s Creamery, Rosati’s added to Ohio Ice Cream Trail

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Northeast Ohio ice cream shops have scooped the competition, grabbing four new spots on the nascent Ohio Ice Cream Trail.

The trail debuted in July, during National Ice Cream Month, with 15 stops around the state notable for their frozen, creamy goodness.

Choosing just 15, however, left off some important parlors. So TourismOhio, which put the trail together, allowed Ohio ice cream lovers to add five more, via online voting.

The results are in. The new shops on the trail are: Honey Hut, with five locations throughout Greater Cleveland; Mason’s Creamery, 4401 Bridge Ave. in Cleveland; Rosati’s Frozen Custard, 95 E. Aurora Road in Northfield; Milk & Honey, in Canton; and the Creamery in Delphos.

These five join the 15 original stops, which included Mitchell’s, Sweet Moses and Handel’s, all in Northeast Ohio.

The trail is one of several dozen that TourismOhio is promoting as part of its summer travel campaign. To see all suggested trails and road trips: www.ohio.org.
