That November Day
On that November day there was snow on the ground and leaves were still falling,
You went to work but clocked out early because your deer stand was calling.
What began as an ordinary day soon became something more intense,
Overwhelming feelings of disbelief, sadness, and grief so immense.
Ten years have passed since then and we are still learning to live without you,
There are days that we break down and cry but days we smile thinking about you.
Although our time together with you was not long enough,
It’s those precious, happy memories that will ease us through the days that are rough.
We will miss you forever and our love for you will never fail,
Our dear grandfather, father, and husband Dale.
