TURIN, Italy (AP) — Juventus and Italy defender Andrea Barzagli will be sidelined for another month after seeing a specialist on his injured right foot.

Barzagli underwent surgery in July but has struggled since returning to training and is still in persistent pain.

On Sunday, Juventus says Barzagli saw a specialist and a scan revealed he has a stress fracture in his heel.

Juventus adds that Barzagli "will continue with treatment and specific training for another 30 days and will then undergo new tests."

Barzagli has been ever present for Juventus in its three successive title victories.

The 33-year-old player is also a key part of the Italy team.
