INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The Oklahoma City Thunder are back on the road tonight against the Indiana Pacers, one night after the Thunder rallied in the second half to beat Brooklyn, 108-96. The Thunder and Houston Rockets are in a third-place tie in the Western Conference, a half-game ahead of Portland. The Pacers are in a virtual third-place tie with Philadelphia in the Eastern Conference, two games ahead of Boston.

UNDATED (AP) — The Toronto Raptors and Denver Nuggets are in action tonight as the two teams try to catch the first-place team in their respective conference. The Raptors trail Milwaukee by three games in the East heading into Toronto’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers. The Dallas Mavericks visit the Nuggets, who begin the night 1 ½ games behind the Western Conference-leading Golden State Warriors.

UNDATED (AP) — The top three teams in the NHL’s Metropolitan Division are in action tonight. The first-place Washington Capitals are in Philadelphia, the New York Islanders host the Montreal Canadiens and the Pittsburgh Penguins are in Buffalo against the Sabres. The Capitals are two points ahead of the Isles and four points better than Pittsburgh, but New York has a game in hand on Washington and Pittsburgh.

UNDATED (AP) — There could be a new leader in the NHL’s Central Division by the end of the night. The Winnipeg Jets carry a one-point lead over Nashville as they head into a home game against the Boston Bruins, who have dropped two straight since earning points in 19 consecutive games. The Predators can gain sole possession of the division lead with a victory over the Kings in Los Angeles and a regulation loss by the Jets.

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Golf’s unofficial fifth Major is underway at The Players Championship at Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. The field is as strong as ever, with everyone from the top 50 in the world ranking in a 144-man field that is vying for the $2.25 million first prize. Players are battling the same Stadium Course at the TPC Sawgrass, but the schedule shift from May to March will cause the layout to play much differently.
