Leominster man dies in motorcycle crash
FITCHBURG, Mass. (AP) — Authorities say the Leominster man who died in a motorcycle crash in Fitchburg this week was not wearing a helmet and did not have a valid driver’s license.
Police identified the victim of Wednesday night’s crash as 26-year-old Jose Oquendo.
Police say he crashed into a utility pole at about 10:30 p.m.
He was flown to a Worcester hospital where he was pronounced early Thursday morning.
Authorities at first said the motorcycle may have been stolen but later said it belonged to the victim’s friend.
The death remains under investigation.
