Tunkhannock Lions Club Quest Program

May 20, 2019

Tunkhannock Lions Club President Steve Patton presented a check to Principal Jason Azarovich as part of a grant which funded materials for the Lions Quest program in grades K-6 in the Tunkhannock Area School District. The Lions Quest program is built on the foundation of an educational approach known as Social and Emotional Learning (SEL). SEL is a process through which children acquire and effectively apply the knowledge, attitudes and skills necessary to understand and manage emotions, set and achieve goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish positive relationships and make responsible decisions. The implementation of this program puts Tunkhannock Area School District in the forefront of area schools to implement a SEL program as a special class for all students in grades K-6. First row, from left, are Jimmy Rail, Leah DeMarco, Connor Davidson, Lily Daubert, Emma Daubert and Laura Frangella.
