Deputies arrest woman in fatal shooting of boyfriend
A 24-year-old man was killed early Wednesday in Converse after an argument with his girlfriend, who is accused of ordering a man to shoot him, authorities said.
The woman, 22-year-old Enederia Cherelle Flowers, has been charged with murder in the death of Isiah Roper, according to her arrest warrant affidavit. Her bail is set at $100,000. The shooter has not been named, but the affidavit identified him as Flowers’ ex-boyfriend.

Investigators said Flowers, along with her ex-boyfriend, drove up to Roper’s family home. Flowers got out of the car and confronted Roper with a knife in the front yard, according to the affidavit, but Roper’s sister tackled her and took the knife away.
The couple continued arguing as Roper led Flowers away from the home, according to the affidavit. Meanwhile, deputies said, Flowers’ ex-boyfriend got back into the car and started following the couple.
Witnesses told deputies that Roper stopped in the middle of the street and asked the ex-boyfriend: “What!? You are going to shoot me?”
