Dunbar’s annual Fall Fest is Sept. 21-22

DUNBAR, W.Va. — The city of Dunbar celebrates its annual Fall Festival Sept. 21 and 22, along with its annual Wine Cellar 10K race.

“The Dunbar Fall Festival has always provided an atmosphere for musicians, artists, craftsmen and diverse foods for everyone to enjoy during the autumn season,” according to a news release from the city.

Here is the schedule of events:

FRIDAY, SEPT. 21

• Local craft and food vendors open at noon.

• 4:30 p.m. — Aria Cowder, Dunbar native

• 5:45 p.m. — Mayor William Cunningham and City Council members officially open the festival

• 6 p.m. — Tommy Griffith

• 7:30 p.m. — Kenny Evans, Golden Oldies hits and more, from Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

• 9 p.m. — Stratus

SATURDAY, SEPT. 22

• 44th annual Wine Cellar 10K Race begins at 8 a.m. at Dutch Hollow Wine Cellar Park.

Kid Zone: Ohio Avenue events

• 1 p.m. — Oversize carnival games provided by Dunbar Mountain Mission. Emcee Mark Jarrell will be awarding prizes until 2 p.m.

• 3 p.m. — “Minute to Win It” game contests for all ages.

• 4-8 p.m. — The inflatable fun begins with an European Bungee Jump, 18-foot slide and the always popular bouncy house.

On stage

• 11:30 a.m. — Mavericks Gymnasts

• 12:30 p.m. — Soul Fire Martial Arts

• 4 p.m. — No Regret Band

• 5:30 p.m. — B S#arpe Band

• 7 p.m. — Southern Cookin’

• 9 p.m. — Street Players
