John Carroll University students cited with throwing ‘loud college party’ off campus

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio — University Heights police cited five John Carroll University students after they threw a “loud college party” off-campus with close to 100 people in attendance, police said.

Brian Dytko, 21 of Westerville; Anthony Moeglin, 21 Canton; Daniel Lentz, 23 of Cleveland; Realle Brown, 21 of Bedford; and Daniel Disbrow, 21 of Avon Lake, were all cited with disturbing the peace after party goers ran from the home early Sunday morning, University Heights police said.

They are scheduled to appear in Shaker Heights Municipal Court Sept. 12 for their first court appearance.

Investigators said police were called about 2 a.m. to the 2400 block of Warrensville Center Road for “a large and noticeably loud college party,” police said.

Between 100 and 150 college-aged people were standing in the front yard and spilled onto the sidewalk, police said. The crowd could be heard yelling and shouting around the house.

The five men cited for the party all live in the home, police said.

Officials said several of the party attendees ran once they heard police sirens and patrol vehicles.

A neighbor told police a portion of her fence was knocked down and several party-goers ran through her garden. Some yelled obscenities at her when she asked them to leave her yard, police said.
