KIMBALL, S.D. (AP) — A freight train derailment in Brule County is being blamed on a problem with the tracks.

Dakota Southern Railway spokesman Mark Cutright tells The Daily Republic ( ) that the wreck on Saturday about 6 miles east of Kimball was caused by a kink or buckle in the tracks. He says it's not unusual.
