Honduran Aircraft Loses Landing Gear on Arrival, Four Hurt
SAN JOSE, Costa Rica (AP) _ A Honduran airliner lost its landing gear as it touched down at the San Jose airport, and four passengers were slightly hurt when it skidded off the runway, the Red Cross said.
It was not immediately known how many people were aboard the SAHSA airliner, arriving from Honduras when the accident occurred at 6:52 p.m. Sunday.
The injured aboard the Honduran national airliner were taken from the Santa Maria international airport to a hospital.
″The plane lost its landing gear and left the runway, but luckily, nobody was killed,″ said Francisco Gonzalez, a spokesman for the Red Cross here.
Dr. Rony Arias, at the San Rafael de Alajuela hospital, said all of the injured were in good condition and would likely be released after treatment for bumps and bruises.
