PARIS (AP) _ Michael Douglas has been honored by the French government as ``Hollywood’s most talented golden boy.″
Douglas was awarded the Order of Arts and Letters by Culture Minister Catherine Trautmann on Friday.
``Hollywood’s most talented golden boy has not disowned the young rebel of years gone-by,″ Trautmann said.
Douglas, speaking in heavily accented French, said: ``Receiving this honor from a country I admire so much overwhelms me.″
The star of ``Basic Instinct″ and ``Fatal Attraction″ is in town to receive a special Cesar award _ the French equivalent of an Oscar _ on Saturday for life achievement.
