WVC BASEBALL ROUNDUP: Comets Top Spartans

At Spartan Stadium, Brad Papura allowed three hits over 4⅓ innings to get the win, and Dean Ambosie went the rest of the way to get the save as Crestwood extended its winning streak to three with a 4-3 victory Tuesday.

Michael Bafunno had a double and drove in two runs for Crestwood, while Francisco Mendoza had a double and scored one run. Michael Palmiero had a single, RBI and run scored.

Nate Dudeck had two hits, including a double and two RBIs for Valley West. Tyler O’Kane had two hits and scored two runs. Stephen Banas had a double.

David Piestrak had two hits and scored twice, while Sam Saxe had two hits and two RBIs. Tommy Antolik also had two hits for the Rangers.

Marcus Kassick and Kevin McNulty each homered for MMI Prep. Daivd Castro had two hits including a double and drove in one.
