n City of Pocatello Golf Advisory Committee meeting will be today at 1 p.m. in the Community Recreation Center, 144 Wilson Avenue.

n City of Pocatello River Vision Implementation Committee meeting will be today at 3 p.m. in the Paradice Conference Room at Pocatello City Hall.

n City of Pocatello Planning & Zoning Commission clarification meeting will be today at 6 p.m. in the Iwamizawa Conference Room at Pocatello City Hall followed by the regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers.

n National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI SI) support group meets every Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Life Inc., 640 Pershing Ave. Family, friends and those in recovery dealing with mental illness are encouraged to come.

n Mental Health Specialists provides a community Suicide Survivor Support Group. This is facilitated by a counselor who has worked extensively with individuals who have survived the suicide of a loved one. The group meets the second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 6 p.m. If you feel like this is something that might benefit you, call Mental Health Specialists at 208-238-9000 and ask for Garren Aubrey. He will talk to you about the benefits of the group and assist you in understanding what you might expect from group. This needs to be done before you attend group for the first time.


n The Power County Fair and Rodeo will be today through Saturday at the American Falls Fairgrounds in American Falls. At the Power County Fair, attendees will be able to watch 4-H competitions. The competitions that will be judged are animals, food and art.


n The Bannock County Fair and Rodeo will be today through Saturday at the Bannock County Fairgrounds in Downey. The Bannock County Fair will offer a number of family-friendly events for all ages. Those events include a dog show, laser tag, a parade, free kids games, Live A Little Moto Cross Extreme and Mega Trucks show and free wagon rides. n Brian Wilde, a financial planner with the Financial Insight Center, will speak at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Brookdale Chubbuck, 4080 Hawthorne Road in Chubbuck.

n City of Pocatello City Council work session will be Thursday at 9 a.m. in Council Chambers at Pocatello City Hall.

n Gold’s Gym will host a Jail Break 5K at Gold’s Gym, 1800 Flandro Drive in Pocatello, at 6 p.m. on Thursday.

n The Palace Playhouse will present “Annie” the musical on Thursday with dinner at 6:15 p.m. and showtime at 7 p.m. The Palace Playhouse is at 158 E. Chubbuck Road. The play features local talent, and patrons can purchase tickets to the show or can also enjoy a dinner/theater experience. n The 2018 Shoshone Bannock Indian Festival will be Thursday through Sunday in Fort Hall at the Rodeo Fairgrounds. Admission is free.
