FVOAS Merry Tripsters plan 2-day trip to House on the Rock

March 23, 2019

SANDWICH – Becky Lueken and her Merry Tripsters from Fox Valley Older Adults Services will travel to The House on the Rock on April 25 and 26 to experience a dream turned into an ever-evolving reality.

In 1960, Alex Jordan opened his dream house, built atop a chimney of rock, to the public.

Over the years, Jordan expanded his vision beyond the house and collected and built on a massive scale. What began as a lofty retreat with an awe-inspiring view has become a spectacular attraction.

The group will leave Fox Valley Community Center at 8 a.m. April 25 and return at 6 p.m. April 26. The price includes coach bus transportation, overnight lodging, House on the Rock, Pendarvis, Mustard Museum and the Olbrich Botanical Gardens.

Other trips scheduled this year through Good Time travel include an Alaskan cruise, Rock Island to see “Grumpy Old Men,” Fair Oaks Farm in Indiana and Starved Rock in Utica.
