OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (AP) _ College basketball fans who applied for tickets to next year's Final Four tournaments should find out soon if they have tickets to the show.

NCAA officials announced Monday that it had sent letters to those ticket applicants chosen in a random drawing.

The men's Final Four games will be held March 26-29 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla. Of the 172,060 fans who applied for tickets, about 11,200 names were chosen. The remaining seats in the arena, which has a capacity of 40,500, are reserved for the four participating institutions.

The women's Final Four games will be played at San Jose Arena. About 6,500 tickets have been allocated, with the remaining 10,100 seats reserved for the participating institutions.

Refunds for unsuccessful applicants were credited electronically to the account in which applicants' checks were drawn through an Automated Clearing House transaction, the NCAA said.

Refunds not processed electronically were mailed Monday.

Tickets for both events will be mailed in early November.
