Spokane County home sales drop while sale price rises
The number of homes sold in Spokane County dropped during October, but prices rose as low inventories of residential property continued to influence the market.
A total of 680 condos and houses on less than 1 acre changed hands during the month, according to the Spokane Association of Realtors.
The average sales price was $264,224 – an increase from $259,472 in September and $227,529 in October 2017.
The median sales price was $240,000 – an increase from $235,000 in September and $209,950 in October 2017.
About 1,300 residential properties are currently listed for sale, which is a 22 percent drop from last year at this time.
The number of homes and condos sold during October dropped 16 percent compared to a year ago.
