Foundation Software in Strongsville plans to expand, add 185 positions

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Foundation Software, a family-owned national business based in Strongsville, plans to invest $95 million in expanding its headquarters and hiring at least 185 people.

Foundation Software provides job cost accounting, project management and mobile software and services for the construction industry. Founded in 1985, the company has grown an average of 20 percent annually since 2010, outgrowing its Strongsville headquarters location at 17999 Foltz Parkway, according to a press release from the company.

Not only does the company plan to expand its current facility, which it shares with sister company Payroll4Construction.com, it will also add at least 185 new positions. Foundation Software currently has 298 employees.

“I admit, we’ve been tripping over ourselves,” Fred Ode, founder and CEO/chairman said in a written statement. “Since stepping out of the recession we’ve sprinted into eight straight years of accelerated, organic growth. When we first moved into our current campus, we were just at 35 percent capacity and thought we found our home for at least the next decade. That was four years and a second building ago. But while we don’t plan on slowing down, it’s important this area stays home to us.”

Local, regional and state level economic officials worked with Foundation Software to develop this project.

“Foundation Software is an innovative, successful company that embraces the technological expertise and unparalleled work ethic of Northeast Ohio’s workforce,” Bill Koehler, Team NEO’s CEO, said in a press release. “We are committed to working with our partners at JobsOhio, Greater Cleveland Partnership and the city of Strongsville to provide resources and support to help Foundation Software continue growing and contributing to our region’s strength in technology.”
