Citilink adjusts schedules for holidays

Citilink bus service will not be available Christmas Day, Dec. 25, or New Year’s Day, Jan. 1, officials announced Monday.

In addition, Citilink’s Cougar Express service will not operate during the University of Saint Francis winter break, which lasts through Jan. 13. The service resumes Jan. 14.

On Monday, Christmas Eve, service will follow its regular schedule but end early. The 6:15 lineup will run a complete trip outbound and inbound. The 6:45 lineup will only run their outbound trip to the end of the route.

Other details, according to a news release, are:

• The Route 21 Flexlink bus will leave Glenbrook at 6:25 p.m. and continue service to Dupont Medical Center.

• The Route 22 Flexlink bus will leave Meijer at 6:43 p.m. and continue service to Lutheran Hospital.

• The Route 5 Southeast Local will continue service from Southtown Centre at 6:40 p.m. to the end of the route.

• Citilink Access service will end by 7:15 p.m.

Citilink services will operate on regular weekday schedule on New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31.

Free Fare Saturdays on all Citilink routes from 7:45 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. continues this weekend.
