Townhomes coming to Indian Trail development
A development in Spokane’s Indian Trail neighborhood is set to grow by 14 townhomes, according to permits issued by the city.
The Jake Townhomes will each be two stories and include three bedrooms, attached garage and covered deck. The 1,400-square-foot homes are being developed by Spokane Valley-based Diamond Rock Construction, which is owned by Dennis Crapo.
The townhomes are valued at nearly $190,000 by the city. It’s unclear if the units will be for sale or rent.
Part of the McCarroll East project that straddles Strong Road on the east side of Indian Trail Road, the townhomes are the latest in what will eventually be 363 units – a mix of duplexes, cottages, townhomes and single-family houses.
The 14 townhomes follow the recent initial construction of 20 duplex structures valued at more than $400,000 each.
Crapo’s development faced neighborhood opposition in 2016, when it was first making its way through City Hall for approval with another, unrelated project. Residents in the far-flung neighborhood had traffic concerns, but those worries were allayed following the plans to widen Indian Trail Road and the abandonment of the other development.
Diamond Rock Construction also is the project’s contractor.
