Orchids and Onions: Friday, August 31, 2018

August 31, 2018

Another beautiful day in Havasu...

Orchids to Josh at Kmart. On a hectic Sunday, (90% off sale on outdoor furniture), he was a great example of an outstanding employee. He just graduated with his degree. Good luck Josh, you’re a great asset to any company. Even helped load our vehicles with a smile. Janet and Dana

Orchids to Best Plumbing and CornCo Excavation for a job well done. They fixed a major leak in the main house feed line which shut off all water to the house. They fixed our problem in less than 24 hours.

Orchids to those coming to my aid as I was checking my mail box. I suffer with AD, fell and could not get up. They were there for me. I will pay it forward.in any way I can. Ranger Terry

Orchids to Dr. Aliyar, Dr. Berdin, and Dr. Cumbria, for coming to the hospital when I was ill. Also to the nurses and aides who kept me laughing (cough, cough). You are the best. If there were more people like you, the world would be a better place. Room 315

Orchids to Jessica at Albertsons for setting up grocery deliveries for my disabled aunt. You rock!

Onions to the company. Still waiting to hear about my dashboard cover I was promised. Also, your opinion about my car was not appropriate.

Orchids to Lin’s Little China and Michele Lin for feeding over 1,000 guests for free at the “Rachel’s Challenge” presentation You are always there to help our community. We are blessed. Dee Nolan

Orchid to Ed’s Deli for the large party platter delivered to the poll workers at the Quality Inn on Election Day. Your patriotic decorations were a nice touch and the hoagies were outstanding!

Orchids to Back To Basics Computers. You excelled where everyone else failed. Under budget. Love working with your team!

Onion to cashiers and food servers saying “no problem” instead of “you’re welcome.” Were you not taught manners? Please say “you’re welcome” when someone says “thank you” especially if you’re taking my money or serving me food.

Onions to the mail deliverer who crammed a soft but large package into the mail box on San Juan Dr. You crumbled our letters. Too lazy to walk it to the door. It isn’t a steep driveway.

Orchids to John at Craig Plumbing. John, you are so helpful and get the job done with a smile.

Onions to restaurants that don’t wipe off salt and pepper shakers between customers. It is so gross to feel how sticky these are.
