SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) _ Hewlett-Packard Co. announced a corporate restructuring that will divide the big computer maker into two separate publicly-held companies.

One company will include Hewlett-Packard's computer and imaging businesses, while the second will include its testing and measuring, components, chemical analysis and medical segments.

``We are taking this action to sharpen the strategic focus of our businesses, improve their agility and increase their responsiveness to customers and partners,'' Hewlett-Packard president Lewis E. Platt said in a statement.
