Gonzaga commit Dominick Harris soars to top of ESPN SportsCenter top 10 plays
Gonzaga basketball commit Dominick Harris went way up Friday, high enough to land at No. 1 on ESPN SportsCenter’s top 10 plays.
Harris, a 6-foot-4 combo guard at Rancho Christian, came around a pick about 35 feet from the hoop, dribbled twice down the right side of the lane and soared for a one-handed dunk over Memphis East center James Wiseman, who was a fraction late helping off his man.
Harris is No. 50 in 247sports.com’s class of 2020 rankings. The 7-foot Wiseman, who has signed with Memphis, is rated No. 1 in the 2019 class.
Harris committed to Gonzaga last January when he was a sophomore at Pacifica Christian. He had 11 scholarship offers at the time, including UCLA, USC, Florida State and North Carolina.
Harris transferred to Rancho Christian in Temecula, California, and he scored 27 points in Friday’s road win.
Former Zag Domantas Sabonis was fifth on SportsCenter’s top 10 with a one-handed slam over New York’s Noah Vonleh at Madison Square Garden. Sabonis finished with 22 points and 15 rebounds in Indiana’s 121-106 win.
