Green-owned Raintree Golf and Event Center names operations team, plans March 1 opening

GREEN, Ohio – The city-owned Raintree Golf and Event Center, under the management of Billy Casper Golf, has announced its operations team for the upcoming season, which is to begin March 1.

The following team members will be responsible for Raintree’s day-to-day operations for the upcoming season:

Eric Snodgrass will serve as Raintree’s general manager. He has more than 20 years of experience in golf-course management and most recently served as general manager and superintendent of Tam O’Shanter Golf Course in Canton.  Patty Gaston will serve as director of golf operations. In her role, she will oversee outings and league promotions.Dawn Bowman will stay on as event director, overseeing the weddings, meetings, banquets and private events that are held at the facility’s 400-seat event center.

The city is planning to host several new events and relocate other community events to the event center, including Oktoberfest, Murder Mystery and the senior holiday luncheon.

“We are pleased with how quickly and professionally Billy Casper Golf is transitioning Raintree Golf and Event Center as a city asset,” Green Mayor Gerard Neugebauer said in a news release. “Now with local staff in place, we look forward to a successful year of golf, banquets, and community events.”

The city bought Raintree Golf and Event Center, formerly Raintree Country Club, late last year and hired Billy Casper Golf to run the course and facility for $7,500 a month, according to reporting by the Suburbanite. As part of the agreement, the management company will receive 15 percent of the facility’s net profits, and the city will receive the remaining profits, which it will reinvest in the golf course and facility.
