Chanticleer: Vocal ensemble to play Trinity Church on the Green
Word is that folks at Trinity Church on the Green in New Haven are excited for the Saturday, April 6, performance of vocal ensemble Chanticleer at the church. And other New Haven area vocal music fans should be, too.
Multiple Grammy Award-winning Chanticleer is known for its blend of 12 male voices on music ranging from chant to jazz, spirituals and contemporary music. Check out their performance of Queen’s “Somebody to Love” on YouTube.
Celebrating its 40th year as a distinctly American group since forming in San Francisco, Chanticleer enthralls audiences throughout the world with its pure and deeply felt singing, a Trinity release noted.
The Music for Music performance series supports Trinity Church’s renowned music programs led by R. Walden Moore, including the 134-year-old Choir of Men & Boys.
