Local fundraiser nets $1,200 for families of Salma Gomez, Chloe Robinson
Papa John’s Pizza on FM 1960 in Atascocita raised $1,200 to give to the families of Salma Gomez and Chloe Robinson who died in a DWI crash last week.
The pizzeria held a fundraiser on Tuesday where 100 percent of the proceeds made that day will be donated to the two families.
Director of Operations for Papa John’s Houston Brant Warnders, heard about Gomez and Robinson and immediately wanted to do something to help their families.
“The big picture is we are so involved with our community,” Warnders said. “I would love to think that our community would do something if God forbid something happened to my family or whoever’s family, it doesn’t matter. It’s all about just pulling together as a community and saying, ‘look, we got you’, you fall down, we pick you up.”
Warnders and Atascocita High School Principal Bill Daniels will deliver the money to the Gomez and Robinson families next week.
