Fred Haas donates $20,000 to MD Anderson Cancer Center
Fred Haas Nissan recently announced a $20,000 donation to MD Anderson Cancer Center, a contribution the dealership hopes to make an annual donation every October, with the goal of raising as much money as possible.
The significance behind the donation stems from the fact that various Haas family members have previously been treated for cancer at the hospital.
“Since several Haas family members were treated for cancer and MD Anderson is responsible for treating thousands of patients, the Haases wanted to solidify the bond with the hospital and invest in its research by making this donation,” said Laura Morgenstern, owner/loyalty manager, Fred Haas Nissan.
The dealership has also held an annual summer blood drive for MD Anderson at the dealership, which is open to the public. This is just part of its community involvement in the Tomball area, as Fred Haas Nissan has been a part of various projects over the years. This includes supporting local high schools by purchasing student planners, providing school supplies to local students, sponsoring the Cinco de Mayo Festival, participating in events such as the Fiestas Patrias, Tomball Holiday Parade, Tomball Night Parade and St. Patrick’s Day Parade, as well as working with the Lions Club, participating in Boy Scout fundraiser events, working with local area sports programs and University of Houston athletic programs.
