San Antonio Rampage run home winning streak to 10

The San Antonio Rampage won their 10th straight match at home, extending a franchise record, by beating the Rockford IceHogs 4-3 on Saturday at the AT&T Center.

San Antonio improves to 20-18-1, with 14 wins in its past 15 games on home ice. Rockford is 16-16-8.

Trevor Smith scored the opening goal for the Rampage about midway through the opening period. Dylan Sikura leveled the score for Rockford early in the second, but San Antonio used goals from Tanner Kaspick and Jordan Nolan to take a 3-1 lead to the third.

Jordan Schroeder scored about five minutes into the final period to pull Rockford within one, but Nolan added a second goal midway through the period to give San Antonio a two-goal cushion. Schroeder tallied again for the IceHogs with 10 seconds to play.

Rampage goalie Jared Coreau made 33 saves against 36 shots.

San Antonio and Rockford play again at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the AT&T Center.
