Beaver Dam Police Beat: Feb. 25-March 3, 2019

Tire dispute — At 4:27 p.m. Feb. 25, a man reported that another man stole his mud tires and wouldn’t return them without payment in the 300 block of West Maple Avenue. The other man said he was just cleaning up the yard and would return the tires.

Theft — At 9:27 a.m. Tuesday, a woman reported that a man stole her vape, phone and charger in the 700 block of South Spring Street. The police retrieved the property and cited the man for theft.

Noise complaint — At 11:34 p.m. Tuesday, multiple officers responded to a report of a man and a woman screaming at each other in the 900 block of North Spring Street. They checked the area and did not see anything.

Fight — At 12:06 a.m. Wednesday, a manager at Richelieu, 121 Industrial Drive, reported a fight between two employees. Police made contact but no one wanted to police action. They separated.

Harassment — At 5:35 p.m. Wednesday, a woman reported that a man was threatening to burn her apartment down in the 800 block of Park Avenue. Police made contact with the suspect.

Trespassing — At 9:37 a.m. Thursday, a woman reported that a man had entered her apartment without permission in the 100 block of Lakecrest Drive. The man was cited for trespassing.

Disorderly conduct — At 3:47 p.m. Thursday, a man reported hearing a confrontation and yelling in another apartment in the 700 block of South Lincoln Avenue. Officers made contact with four women and counseled them.

Unwanted person — At 2:20 a.m. Friday, a man reported a woman would not leave in the 600 block of South Spring Street and that she had entered without permission to get her marijuana pipe. He said she slapped him on the head and he hit her back. The woman was warned for child abuse, trespassing and having drug paraphernalia.

Family trouble — At 2:57 a.m. Friday, a man reported another man threw things across the room and hit him in the legs in the 200 block of Cherokee Road. They had conflicting stories and said it started as a verbal dispute over cigarette filters. The man who called police was taken into custody on a Fall River warrant.

Threat — At 12:15 p.m. Friday, Beaver Dam Cold Storage, 121 Tower Drive, reported that an employee made a threat against the business while at work. Police contacted him by phone.

Child abuse — At 1:26 p.m. Friday, police responded to a report of child abuse.

Trespassing — At 2:26 p.m. Friday, a woman reported a man entered her house without permission in the 400 block of Brook Street.

Disorderly conduct — At 4:30 p.m. Friday, police responded to a road rage incident between two men in the 100 block of Frances Lane.

Battery — At 7:09 p.m. Saturday, a man said he took his dog to the dog park when another owner’s dog jumped on him and the owner pushed him to the ground. Police took a report for battery.

Domestic violence — At 11:56 p.m. Saturday, police took a man to jail from the 100 block of Washington Street for domestic battery and disorderly conduct.

Fight — At 5:57 a.m. Sunday, a man reported a woman under the influence of something was fighting another woman in the 100 block of Gould Street.

Theft — At 10:39 a.m. Sunday, North Plaza Laundry, 1307 N. Center St., reported someone had gotten into the coin machine.

Family trouble — At 7:06 p.m. Sunday, a woman reported that a man kept bothering her while she was trying to sleep in the 300 block of East Third Street. Multiple officers responded. He went upstairs and said he would stop causing issues.
