Local running film, Proof of Life, wins big in Vegas
A documentary film following Spokane’s Brad Thiessen’s recovery from brain cancer won top honors at the Las Vegas Running Film Festival. The film was shot and directed by Spokane filmmaker Adam Harum.
“The award is a credit to Adam’s skills as a film maker and his dedication to telling the story,” Thiessen said. “It’s heartening to see this message getting out about the power of being active outdoors and connected to others. I’m looking forward to being able to share the film and message more widely around Spokane and beyond in the coming year.”
The film played at the Trail Running Film Festival in Seattle last weekend. A 5-minute short based on the documentary will also tour the country with the festival.
