Winning lottery ticket sold in Johnstown

A Cambria County tobacco outlet sold a jackpot-winning Pennsylvania Lottery Cash 5 ticket worth $650,000 for Friday’s drawing. The ticket matched all five balls drawn, 03-15-32-35-40, to win the prize.

Puff N Snuff, 1234 Scalp Ave., Johnstown, will earn a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket, according to the Pennsylvania Lottery.

The prize has yet to be claimed. Cash 5 prizes expire one year from the drawing date.

More than 36,000 other Cash 5 tickets also won prizes in the drawing. Sixty-six players matched four numbers, each receiving $332.50. More than 34,000 players matched two numbers, each receiving $1.

Cash 5 players pay $1 and select five numbers from 1 to 43. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 962,598, according to the lottery. The overall chance of winning any prize is about 1 in 10.5.
