Helicopter Crashes at Hospital
CLEVELAND (AP) _ A helicopter crashed after taking off from the roof of a hospital early Friday, officials said.
Eric Sandstrom, spokesman at University Hospitals of Cleveland, said he was told three people, including a pilot, nurse and medic, were on board. There was no official word on deaths or injuries.
Sandstrom said the helicopter crashed into a hospital courtyard about 12:30 a.m. He said the crew was heading to another hospital to pick up a patient.
``I heard it sputter first, and it started losing altitude, then I heard ’Boom!‴ said patient Kevin Chandler, who watched the crash from a ninth-floor hospital window and later ran outside in 20-degree weather.
