Girls hockey | Lourdes back on winning track
Ali Ratzloff scored her first goal of the season less than three minutes into Saturday’s game and Rochester Lourdes never trailed in a 4-1 girls hockey victory against Minneapolis at Graham Arena.
It was a dominant victory for Lourdes, which was playing its fourth game in eight days. The Eagles outshot Minneapolis 34-16 in the game, including 13-2 in the first period.
A pair of Emma Schmitz goals in the second period made it 3-0 Lourdes, and Clara Billings added another with 6:18 to play in the game.
Forward Sarah Dravis made the offense go on Saturday for No. 11-ranked Lourdes (3-1-0 overall), assisting on all four of her team’s goals. Dravis has been outstanding so far this season, compiling eight points through four games. She leads the team in assists (seven) and is second in scoring, behind Schmitz, who has seven goals and two assists.
Corrin Hanson stopped 15 of the 16 shots she faced Saturday to earn her third win in goal this year.
The Eagles play host to Mahtomedi at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday at Graham Arena.
