Molester to get 20-year sentence under plea deal
KINGMAN — It will be two decades in prison for a Bullhead City man who admitted he involved an 8-year-old girl in sexual activity.
A 20-year prison sentence is mandated in a plea agreement entered Thursday for Ciprano Fass, 33.
Fass pleaded guilty to sexual conduct with a minor and attempted child molestation.
Deputy Mohave County attorney Jacob Cote said the 2017 crimes involved inappropriate touching between Fass and the girl at a residence in the 2000 block of Buccaneer Drive.
Fass hung his head throughout the 30-minute change of plea hearing before Judge Billy Sipe. He complained that he was getting more years in prison than other similarly situated defendants.
Sipe pointed out that Fass will likely learn that some defendants in his position actually end up with much longer prison sentences.
Terms of the deal require that Fass serve probation once he is released from prison and that he must register as a sex offender.
A March 20 hearing is scheduled for formal sentencing.
