LEOMINSTER — It’s safe to assume that most people don’t know about the fine craft of carpentry. Fortunately that didn’t matter to the people standing in the sun on Saturday building and sanding down wooden twin beds as it was all for a good cause.

The second Build-a-Bed Event was held at the Adams Street headquarters of the Leominster Credit Union, which partnered with the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless to put on the event. Featuring employees of the LCU and local volunteers, the event ran from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 a.m. in two shifts building twin-sized beds out of wood for underprivileged children.
