Midterm election wave color undetermined: Darcy cartoon

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- It’s yet to be seen if midterm election blue or red waves will form, but a pink wave is cresting this election day.

If you just tuned into the 2018 midterm election campaign you might think President Trump and former President Barack Obama are on the ballot.  Trump and Obama aren’t candidates, but a record number of women are, and women voters may be a factor in the election’s outcome like never before.

The final polls are showing there is a greater chance of Democrats winning the house, than Republicans.  Those same polls show that there is a greater chance of Republicans winning the Senate, than Democrats.

Will women who helped elect Trump in 2016 stay on the beach in 2018 trying to shore up the Trump sand castle, or will they swim out to catch and surf a blue wave?

I can’t project if the Democrats will win the House and close governor races in Ohio, Florida and Georgia.  But I can project Democracy will win if you go out and vote today, if you haven’t already.  Unlike in Russia and Saudi Arabia, your vote does count, don’t take it for granted, cast it.
