Mount Vernon asks public to weigh in on parks

January 5, 2019

The city of Mount Vernon is seeking public input on what residents and visitors want from its parks and trails.

The survey asks respondents to rank their interest in existing services such as athletic fields, picnic areas or open spaces, and what new or expanded programs they’d like to see.

It also asks respondents whether they would pay more in taxes for more services and activities.

The survey is available at surveymonkey.com/r/mvparks.

Mount Vernon is also hosting two open houses at the Hillcrest Park Lodge to gather input. The first is at 6 p.m. Jan. 24, and the second at 10 a.m. Feb. 23.
