1 dead after early morning fire in Connecticut
KILLINGLY, Conn. (AP) — Connecticut fire officials are investigating an early morning fire that left one person dead.
Crews responded to the scene of the fire in the Danielson section of Killingly at around 1 a.m. Thursday.
Deputy Fire Chief Jason Burgess says the building was engulfed in flames by the time firefighters arrived.
Crews from neighboring fire departments helped get the fire under control by 4 a.m.
Officials say one person died, but no other information about the person’s identity has been released.
The state fire marshal’s office is investigating. The cause of the fire was not immediately clear.
