ROCOG plans open house for transportation plan
The event will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Rochester-Olmsted Planning Department’s main meeting room at 2122 Campus Drive SE.
The federal government requires urban areas with populations of more than 50,000 people to update their long-range transportation plans every five years. The local plan will be updated with an outlook stretching to 2045.
The plan will recommend mid-range and long-range transportation projects for Rochester and parts of Olmsted County. Projects will include work on area streets and highways, bike and pedestrian paths and transit options.
