Alabama hospital employee shot, wounded in robbery
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — A hospital employee has been shot and wounded during a robbery outside an Alabama hospital.
Jackson Hospital spokeswoman Jessica Barefoot in Montgomery said in a news release that three employees of the hospital and one employee of Nolan Hospital were robbed around 1 a.m. Friday near the hospital campus.
Barefoot said the wounded employee is in fair condition. She did not release the person’s name or the hospital the where the person was employed.
Montgomery Police Capt. R.L. Duckett said in an email that the person wounded is a man.
Duckett said the suspect fled after the robbery. She said no arrests have been made yet.
