September 6, 2018

Longmont

South Pratt Parkway: South Pratt Parkway remains reduced to one lane in each direction between Boston and Colorado avenues during bridge replacement work.

Boulder

Foothills Parkway/Diagonal Highway: The off-ramp that connects northbound Foothills Parkway to southbound Colo. 119/Diagonal Highway will be closed through mid-November to improve access and drainage. The rebuilding of the off-ramp is part of the Diagonal Crossing development project, which will be a mixed-use development of multi-family residences, businesses and nonprofit facilities. Traffic is rerouted north to Jay Road and then south on Foothills to connect to the Diagonal.

Arapahoe Avenue: Continuing work on landscaping, curbs and an underpass beneath Arapahoe Avenue will result in intermittent daytime closings and detours on Arapahoe between 17th Street and Broadway through early 2019.

Boulder County

Fourmile Canyon Drive: Fourmile Canyon Drive is closed to recreational cycling between Boulder Canyon Drive/Colo. 119 and the Sunset townsite from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays because of flood-recovery construction activities in the area. Cycling also is restricted along Gold Run Road from Salina Junction to just south of Gold Hill during those daytime, weekday hours. Motorists could encounter up to 15-minute delays Mondays through Fridays on Lower Fourmile Canyon Drive just north of Colo. 119, upper Fourmile Canyon Drive west of Salina Junction and Gold Run Road north of Salina Junction.

James Canyon Drive: Motorists can expect travel delays of up to 45 minutes between Lefthand Canyon and Jamestown during flood recovery repair work, although delays could be as short as 10 to 15 minutes. There are single-lane closings at multiple locations, and heavy truck traffic. Estimated completion date is December.

Lee Hill Drive: A reconstruction project to replace concrete drainage structures will continue through September, with occasional single-lane closings on weekdays.

Superior

Comcast fiber upgrade: There will be intermittent lane closures throughout the town as Comcast upgrades its facilities.

McCaslin Boulevard: Several detours and lane closings on McCaslin between Coal Creek Drive and Rock Creek Parkway are in place for road repairs, and motorists can expect significant occasional delays through November. Alternate routes are encouraged. Traffic will be routed onto the western lanes. Bicyclists are encouraged to use the new concrete path on the west side of McCaslin. The sidewalk on the east side of McCaslin is closed. Discovery Parkway will be closed at McCaslin; a detour on Main Street and Promenade Drive will be in place.

Erie

Erie street maintenance: Through this fall, a contractor will be completing Erie’s 2018 street maintenance project’s asphalt patching and crack sealing work. Following this work, a surface treatment of a chip seal will be applied to the roads. Roads impacted: Arapahoe Road from U.S. 287 east to Lakota Ranch Road; 119th Street from Colo. 7 north to Thomas Reservoir; 109th Street from Erie Parkway north to Dobbins Run; Erie Parkway from County Road 5 east to the Interstate 25 frontage road; Weld County Road 7 from Erie Parkway south to a half-mile north of Weld County Road 6; Kenosha Road from County Line Road west three-quarters of a mile. Town officials urge motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists to pay close attention to flaggers and traffic control signs, reduce speeds and, if possible, avoid construction areas during work hours. Delays could occur and alternate routes are strongly recommended.
