Charges filed in 2012 death of teen found shot in bedroom
ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) — Prosecutors in eastern Pennsylvania have announced charges in the slaying of a teenager found shot in his Allentown bedroom nearly six years ago.
The Lehigh County prosecutor’s office said 28-year-old Quante Cruz is charged with criminal homicide, conspiracy, burglary and drug and firearms counts in the August 2012 death of 17-year-old Kareem Fedd.
District Attorney Jim Martin said Tuesday that Cruz was charged in a sealed grand jury presentment and “no further facts will or can be released.”
Authorities said at the time that they were investigating whether the slaying of Fedd, who would have been a senior a William Allen High School, could have been gang-related.
Court documents don’t list an attorney for Cruz and a listed number in his name couldn’t be found Tuesday.
