Philadelphia Mental Patient Identified As Fiery Suicide Victim
EAST GREENWICH TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) _ A woman who walked away from a Pennsylvania mental hospital has been identified as the suicide victim who set herself on fire behind a truck stop last week, authorities said Monday.
Susan Ann Fallow-Perez, 35, of Philadelphia was identified by her ex- husband on Friday, said Gloucester County Prosecutor Richard E. Hickey III.
She burned to death Thursday afternoon after dousing herself with a gallon of gasoline. Ms. Fallow-Perez had been committed to Philadelphia State Hospital and had escaped from the hospital earlier Thursday, Hickey said.
The Philadelphia district attorney’s office will investigate the woman’s escape from the hospital to determine if criminal charges need be filed, spokesman Terry Williamson said.
