Motorist pulls into pickup’s path in NW. Wisconsin, dies in collision

A motorist pulled into the path of a pickup truck on a northwestern Wisconsin highway and died in a collision, authorities said.

The crash occurred about 5:20 p.m. Thursday on Hwy. 8 in Apple River Township, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

The victim was identified as Tori A. Isler, 38, of nearby rural Amery. The pickup driver, 54-year-old Kevin H. Bunker, of St. Croix Falls, Wis., was slightly hurt.

According to the Sheriff’s Office:

Isler turned left from northbound County Road H and crossed in front of Bunker as he headed east on Hwy. 8.

Bunker struck Isler’s car on the driver’s side door. Isler was declared dead at the scene.
